Snowbird Environmental Systems of Jacksonville has won a maximum $9 million contract for landing craft air cushion air conditioners for the Navy.

The work is expected to be completed by Aug. 5, 2013, the Defense Department said in a news release.

The Defense Logistics Agency Troop Support, Philadelphia, sought bids through the agency’s Internet Bid Board System and received one.

Snowbird’s website says the company has been producing air-conditioning and refrigeration equipment for the Defense Department and major aerospace and military prime contractors since 1992.
